We already were at a disadvantage recruiting in the SEC, chasing after the Texas and Florida schools' leftovers. You think any top 4 or 5 star recruit, with a 100 different college offers on the table, most of which he knows nothing about, isn't going to look for any reason possible to eliminate some options? You think hearing "that school might be racist" from an opposing SEC coach isn't a negative factor? They aren't researching the situation, reading about Jonathan Butler and how he was a fraud, or about the faculty's health insurance woes. No...they're immediately tossing our brochure into the trash can. Next.

To say we haven't been killed in recruiting by those protests is completely naive. Not saying Odom is Bear Bryant, but he didn't stand a chance in hell. It's absolutely ridiculous, because we are likely the LEAST racist campus in the SEC. But our team isn't going anywhere for at least 2 more years.
