I am stating a simple fact. You cannot get to know someone from their resume and a job interview, therefore the hiring decision will be made based upon other factors.

Those factors will include the personal preferences of the hiring person. Those will include their biases and stereotypes they believe. Those biases and stereotypes may be completely false but they DO factor into the decision.
