elite without lots of elite in-state talent.
Missouri doesn't have massive amounts of in-state talent at a high level. We have maybe 10-15 kids per year that are good enough to play at the Power-5 level, and you're never going to get all of them.
I think most Missouri fans would be alright with consistent 7-8 win seasons and the occasional special year when the stars align and you have an elite Senior QB or something like that which can carry you to that 10+ win season once every 4 or 5 years.
Missouri will never be a consistent 10+ win team every year. It's just not doable unless something changes drastically in the state at the High School level and they start producing more high-level talent.
