As a Californian who plays golf in Chino, CA (a place that USED TO BE a huge dairy farming area) I can attest to the fact that the dairy farmers were forced out of the state by the CA legislature.. in fact, here is an LA Times article from 2006 (the same year the Nunes family sold their farm) about the mass exodus by dairy farmers from CA...
