Maybe he just doesn't want to testify. Not everyone desires the limelight. He is probably fearful the left will sick the Antifa fascists on him and they will torment his family.
About 30 or so years ago I was subpoenaed by one of the committees of Congress. I recall a feeling of dread and anxiety. I figured there was no way those members were interested in making me look good. I bet this Judge cat is thinking the same way.
