And of course, while it was frustrating to see so many Purdue receivers breaking wide open all night and our pass rush being pretty much non-existent, I came away from that game with plenty of positives.
We were without one of our best corners all night. DeMarcus Acy. If he plays this Saturday, makes a big difference
We were without one of the best wide outs in the game for much of the night. Hall finally comes back in and makes a great catch and run.
That was not an easy place to play in. Overcame plenty of adversity and pulled out the win
What about our run blocking. Rountree and Badie - great one / two punch. Love Badie!
Our freshmen wide outs are really stepping up. Knox is not playing like a freshman
I’d rather have our clunker - if you want to call it that - the week before Georgia. Get it out of your system. And maybe, just maybe, Georgia comes in over confident.
Purdue’s going to upset a team or two this year. Eastern Michigan or not - that was a pretty good football team we beat on the road in a hostile environment.
I’m picking Mizzou this Saturday. The defense will be a different defense - and we have the offensive weapons to ring up at least 30 on the Dawgs.
