The 2017 class was one of the best in the nation. I give Martin a bit of a pass on 2018 because I don't think he could plan on losing Harris, Phillips, and Roberts. He was late to the game on the guard market and lost a high profile battle for Ramey. However he did get Mark Smith in the transfer market who will essentially become a part of the 2018 class after sitting out a year. I think Mark will be a great player.
Like I said above 2019 was supposed to be a big year for us in recruiting and it seems like the options are dwindling fast. It still can be a great class. Coaches are fired or change jobs. Players blow up in the senior year. I know we are in on at least one JUCO combo forward. We can still have a great class, but it seems to be a narrow path at the moment. But if college basketball recruiting is anything, it's fluid.
