Next best guess, is girlfriend made it clear she doesn't like or want kids.
His presentation in his interview, was not that of a man missing a wife and 2 kids he cared about. I was surprised the news ran it last night as if he was pleading for their return. It was what is called an incongruent communication. He hanged himself.
