I haven't paid attention to this. How does it compare to AO?

Can't help but make comparisons, but I don't know enough about the Maryland situation (or remember the specifics of Aaron O'Neal's death) to know how similar they are or aren't.

I know AO had some medical complications that made it worse, but I recall it being a situation that could have been avoided.

What separates that case, where I don't recall anyone being fired, from Maryland? (That's an honest question, not a suggestion anyone here should've been fired or that Maryland is being treated unfairly now.)
