An open letter to Marcus Washington

I understand you must be under a lot of pressure and anxiety considering the events of the past week. I'm sure you and your family will ultimately make the best decision for you, your academics and your football future. I'm certainly not going to give you any advise because from all I've read about you and your family I'm sure you will not make any hasty decisions and the decision you make will be the right one. But as a Missouri fan I want you to know that we need you. The day you step on campus you will be the one who will help lead us to a NC before your time is done.

You will have to trust and develop a relationship with coach Odom and the new OC. It will not be easy, but nothing great ever is. No matter where you decide to play the next 3-4 years I will cheer for you. Do not let personal relationships dictate your future or you will be sorely disappointed many times. Missouri is a great college and Columbia, MO is the absolute best college town in America. Trust your heart, believe in the friendships you have made with fellow Mizzou commits, and commit to the Zou. You will not be disappointed.
