First off I will say the following: I am not convinced Barry Odom is the answer for us. As far as I'm concerned he didn't get left the best of situations talent wise, but he has worked it. He has filled gaps that people don't seem to give him credit for because they aren't the 4/5* types. MU isn't going to get those into we win consistently for more than 7 or 8 years. GP is evidence of that. He did great for us, but we didn't start getting the 4/5* guys regualary even after the Daniel years.
Cuonzo has had some big time recruits in his history and won with them, but he hasn't stayed anywhere long enough to show he is going to be as good as Norm, for example.
I also don't give him 100% credit for the Porter kids. They wanted to move back to COMO and he was smart enough to hire Dad. He gets 100% credit from me for Tilmon, Watson and Robertson and two well thought of transfers that can't play yet. The rest have show anything for us. So, I am not ready to say he will. This '19 and '20 classes will make or break him, recruiting wise which has for the most part been what everyone is all over Barry about.
I guess I'm from MO and they have to show me instead of just it being posted by anonymous posters on the internet.
A PS here! Yes, I am guessing that most are giving Barry his shot, but the its the vocals that are all over him like they were Anderson for basketball. And I was one that said I never expected Kim to be able to recruit for this level and he couldn't. But once we went ahead and hired him he should have his chance and this board did not give it to him. Only took his first game for them to go all over to fire him.
