Odom choosing Finley over his receivers coach for the gig is indicative of his stubborn nature leading to lack of focus on the elements of winning. Odom plays favorites with his guys every bit as bad as Pinkel did. Hill is expert in reading defenses and Pinkel relied on him making adjustments to plays at the last second. Odom knows this, but still installed the inexperienced Finley to make the calls.
