town or on a road trip and drive by a state trooper, sheriff's deputy, muni cop, etc. sitting on the side of the road (usually hidden by a hump in the road or debris or other cover) we always say

"I feel safer just knowing he's there".

and shake our heads.

Pure revenue shakedown and excuse to harrass.

Go sit in a donut shop and wait for a call to clean up a crime you didn't prevent.
