MU has a ways to go to come anywhere close to matching Iowa, Arky, and South Carolina’s fan base and passion. We are in a slightly better boat than Iowa in terms of a better state to recruit from but they beat MU in about any other measure during my lifetime. USC/Arky is way more loyal and close to recruits. Our campus and Columbia is way superior but that is about the only comparative advantage over USCe.

I think MU is more like a MN, Maryland, Purdue’s isn’t bad, Indiana, UK, Ole Miss, Illinois, UVA, NC State, UNC, Georgia Tech, a Texas Tech, Okie State and would fit best culturally in the PAC 12 with their middling fans and passion and overall culture of Meh toward college athletics.
