The crazed nutjobs get back at their tormentors, and tv has taught them how much anguish it causes. Plus, schools have grown huge, with little defense, sometimes even advertising it's a gun free zone. Teachers won't have guns, they are mostly opposed want job. Kids can't afford or buy them (for the most part).

The mall has adults, who might be packing, and no one's sad when adults dies, like they are children.

They may be crazy, but they aren't stupid.
