I think the corners will be better than you think-Holmes, Acy, Petry & Sparks are very solid.
I love our linebackers and think we go 2 deep with Hall, Garrett & Lee backed up by Aubrey Miller, Jamal Brooks and the Bledsoe/Ross hybrid.
Agreed that the safety position is questionable.
I was at the Purdue game (or at least through the 3rd quarter) and agree-disaster. Hoping Dooley's offense keeps the D off of the field for 40 minutes/game.
Last year, TBjr was coming off his injury. Brandon, Palmore and Utsey were brand new, as was Whiteside, Byers and Tre Williams. We also did not have Jordan Elliott and Antar Thompson.
The depth chart has 8 seniors & juniors sprinkled through as well as 4 sophomores who played as true freshmen.
Can't vouch for the season but there was once a Mizzou D line that had Michael Sam, Kony Ealy, Jacquies Smith, Lucas Vincent, Dominique Hamilton, Terrell Resonno and Marvin Foster up front that gave up 37 to Ariz St., 42 to Okie State and 42 to Baylor. Final 4 games, they won, getting to 8-5 and giving up a total of 66 points in those games.
Took time to jell, but I'd put the 2018 group up against the 2011 D-Line and bet they end up with better stats.
