I have heard Trinity has so many athletes because the school was given an allotment of full scholarships by the arch diocese to dull out. Rather than close down they funded several full rides that went to north county kids for a 3-5 year period. Most of those kids now would likely be at CBC, SLUH, Chaminade, Hazelwood publics, etc. without those. My guess is when those cycle out they won't have the stock pile of athletes they do now. We may have missed the boat on that pipeline. Lovie is on borrowed time in Champaign though so the previous coach may have jumped ship too soon. Another 2-10 type season and he could be gone after this year.
