and there was no end in sight to the "investigation" until you admitted something would you go into eternal debt and ultimate bankruptcy and lose everything you worked for or admit to something, anything, even if you didn't do it just to put an end to it? He has to have lawyers because he needs to keep the prosecutor honest.

I wonder if a "special" prosecutor would string out a phony investigation like that if he were held personally responsible for the legal costs of every suspect he fails to convict.
