point - a much harder RIGHT has taken control of the GOP in recent years, which was the point of my saying the party becomes more isolated due to that harder tack. I think also the once glowing image or Ronald Reagan has dimmed some over time. I have mentioned before on this board that accrd to a terrific episode of the PBS program "the American Experience" on Reagan, that the man had very few if any friends. He knew many, but no friends to speak of and that saddened me some. I didn't care for his politics, but hate to see one suffer.
