should be to ban weapons that fire at high rates and are only made to kill lots of people in a short period of time. Those weapons should be illegal if they are made that way or altered to perform that way.
We are always going to have shootings as long as we have such a high percentage of gun ownership. Even then, the death count can be limited by eliminating weapons that the public has no reason to own.
