I’m not agreeing with him when he says that’s the reason he’s a terrible coach because CM is not terrible. He’s a little above average, but as a longtime coach myself, he should have used the TO to get something reliable with a first and second option that they’ve practiced and prepared for this situation. Again, it doesn’t make him terrible, just one example of why he’s not good or great. He doesn’t have the experience or collective basketball IQ on the floor with this team to trust them to make the right play in that situation and he should have used his TO. I assume he’ll learn from it moving forward. It probably cost him an NCAA tourney birth though.
