got a seemingly significant transfer, Jayden Newsome, a setter from Colorado. From Texas, she was a HS AA in 2016, but was beat out there by another great freshman setter who ended up being an honorable mention AA in 2017 for the Buffs. Newsome redshirted in 2017 as a result, and will have 4 years of eligibility at Mizzou.

Good news, as setter is a position of great concern heading into the 2018 season. We have been really blessed the last 7 years running with Molly Kreklow and Courtney Eckenrode at setter. We have other significant needs of course heading into the next season after also graduating Crow, Deeken and Larsen, but if you don't have a great setter you might as well give up trying to make an impact in the top 20.
