And that should be the easiest within our borders. If we had a national recruiting net, then yeah, we could pass over many of the instate prospects, though this year was not one of them
And we all know we do not have even a regional recruiting net. Therefore we have the best shot at blue chippers when they are instate, due to "state school" alumni, proximity/family, familiarity (and next, in adjacent areas to Missouri).
To land enough blue chippers to matter out of state, we are going to need better recruiters. It's not simply a case of going into Texas to substitute for St Louis. We don't have that kind of success there with the highly sought afters.
