' and be very much against the Big Brother recording and storage of every phone call, email & text of every citizen & pickle (presumably) available to be retrieved in secret by the government.

We have already seen how easily the government can abuse this massive power and that they have already done so in short order after being given this capability.

At the very least much greater controls and transparency are in order, but more likely this massive invasion of privacy on such a grand scale needs to be brought to a screeching halt.

It does show how absurd the Supreme Court decision which outlawed state laws against abortion based upon "a penumbra" of a constitutional right to privacy truly is.
