the worst kind of witness for a prosecution, especially if his testimony against any others, if any, would be necessary for him to reduce his sentence.

Weirdly, what they claim he was lying about was not illegal, and in fact the standard part of the job for any transition team.

...and it had nothing to do whatsoever with what Mueller is ostensibly tasked with investigating.

...and is something that the FBI has been caught doing, but for which none of the perpetrators was ever prosecuted.
