Well, logically, how you became a citizen can be illustrative with respect to the discussion of whether or not citizenship is legitimate or not.
Did your ancestors not only accept the U.S. government as legitimate but long so much to become citizens that they risked everything to come here and apply for citizenship?
Or maybe they were brought here as slaves and never wanted to be citizens and you were indeed forced into "citizenship" when neither you nor they agreed to that for you... in which case it could be argued that you are indeed owed enough money to relocate back to wherever your ancestors were seized.
