Trump can’t stop an impeachment or pardon himself from impeachment, but it is not clear whether a sitting president can be prosecuted outside of impeachment.
The Constitution makes the president the head of the branch that would be doing any federal prosecution....so a sitting president couldn't be prosecuted by the federal government unless he allowed it.
