election idea

So this morning I heard something about the Alabama senate election on the radio and I got to thinking how great this must be for R vs D fanboys. Then I started thinking about how college football has had great success the last 25 years or so moving more games to different time slots on Saturdays and then moving games to different days. Wouldn’t it be great if govt did the same thing and spread elections out through the entire year? The big states would get the best time of the year, while Rhode Island and South Dakota would get worst time (mid-summer?) while still getting to have no other elections going on at the same time (think MAC games on Tuesday nights.) Taking a cue from the Olympics, Senate and House elections could be in alternating years.
