who post negative things at every turn. They set the tone and tenor of the conversations. Much like a gaggle of geese that moves at every turn, the negativity turns on a dime and no one or no thing is spared. (2) they are vocal and while they get mob voted off, they seem to always come back and resume where they left off. (3) They enjoy being irritating and abrasive.
(4) This practice keeps other posters from posting.
(5) there is a general apathy when a team is not doing well. The point here is this: Sport discussions are unifying and tend to be intensely personal. Fans identify best when their team does well and take pride in them. Maybe in the final analysis they ARE bandwagon fans, but there are a lot of them. (6) the hardcore fans generally are the best fans to post as they tend to be uplifting, supportive, informative and support the team thru the good and the bad times.
(7) An aspect often overlooked is this board does have a good cross section of fan view points which is why I read posts here. While I am a fan of LSU, I have always been intently curious about Mizzou football. I have made the trek to three games. Two of which were noteworthy.
I think program under Odom has the potential to be a consistent winner and to play with dignity and pride worthy of the fans they represent.
I also think there are a lot of fans here that feel the same way I do.
