people under oath when questioning - lying to the FBI is a crime (obstruction) without the oath (who the eff do you think they would have administer such an oath anyway)?

Flynn could have/should have had his attorney present when he provided statements to the FBI (since he committed other criminal acts.) All he had to do was ask to speak with counsel - he wasn't under arrest.

There really are two options when responding to cop (fed/state/local): 1. Tell the truth 2. Decline to answer their questions.
