My guess is that he made a deal with pansy paul ryan to not pursue anything further in exchange for his stepping down.

And since ryan wants to do what is best for our nation and not drag this fine man's name through the mud, he will....acquiesce.

It's what he does.

Now, many of the board libs will use the lib logic they invoke when discussing fat hillary. "It's over. Leave her alone. What good will it do to pursue this, she is not running for anything."
