progressives wanted abortion and the minimum wage to wipe out blacks? That progressives were behind the eugenics movement that directly lead to the holocaust? That progressives like Woodrow Wilson, arguably the most racist president in history, and FDR directly took policy views from european fascists?
You are completely ignorant of all these facts. Liberals championed civil rights in the 1960s (a century after Republicans) not because they gave a damn about blacks but becuase they wanted to use the movement to push economic socialism and enhance their own power.
The greatest damage done to blacks is not the legacy of slavery but the legacy of the war on poverty and the great society.
All you know is what liberal education has brain washed you with. Stop reading Howard Zinn and read real history.
