The largest states lose out... In Texas, millions of dem votes are wiped out. In NY and Cali, millions of Republican votes are ignored. Not only that, but the margins are ignored as well. A 1 vote victory counts the same as a 1 million vote victory. And politics deserves a more precise representation. Furthermore, some members of the EC defect, abstaining from voting etc..
In general pop, this swings in favor of Republicans. Obama and Clinton (Bill) won in both Electoral and Pop landslides. Bush (in 2000) and Trump both lost popular vote..
It would take 2/3 to ratify it (and would never happen) but it wouldn't be a bad narrative to push (getting rid of EC)
