1st Amendment merely prohibits the Estabkishment of a Religion by Government & prides for the Freedom of Religion, more precisely Religious Liberty.

However, nowhere does it prohibit the association or recognition of God in the town square!!

Don’t only read the 1st Amendment. Be able to or capable of understanding it. That may require having others explain it to you or gaining an education that will enable you to!

The entire Bill of Rights & founding documents of the country of based on Judeo-Christian law, principles & beliefs, including the Ten Commandments, so it is competely inconsistent & absolutely irrational to think the Founders would have intended otherwise!
