Let's assume for a moment that your pipe dream comes true and in twenty years the US is totally fossil fuel free and wind power and solar are our only sources of energy. How will this affect our weather? If we are pulling that much energy from the wind it will have to affect the weather. The same goes for solar cells every joule that is captured by a solar cell is one that is not going to make it to the Earth's surface.
You green nuts always forget the rule of unintended consequences. Maybe there will be a minimal effect, maybe it will be catastrophic.
