That was probably the US. Today, the best health care is provided in Germany. The best health care SYSTEM is in France, but it is pricey.
The US has categorically the worst system that insists on injecting profits into every last medical transaction. The US Congress passed a law years back prohibiting US Govt or agencies hereof from negotiating for group rate pricing from pharmaceutical companies. That law ought to be that the the govt is compelled to negotiate such.
