Socialists don't want to solve the "problem." They need

to have it remain as an issue.
They could care less about saving lives, or black lies matter, or the children of america.
They care about power.
And this issue gives them something to care about. Or seem to. There are virtually no additional laws that could be passed to eliminate or reduce crimes with guns. They know that.
They want to pass laws anyway. Feel good don't do good.
They win twice; they get to seem to care, and they get to do nothing about it so they can continue to care even after their useless efforts have "succeeded."
They need the issue, not the solution.
