First, why would Dems care about the 2016 election still?!
If you want to blame Dems (ofc you do) then assume they are trying to smear Drumpf (how hard is it?) for 2018 midterms and 2020.
You fail to realize that EVEN PEOPLE IN HIS OWN PARTY were saying Drumpf was in Putin's pocket during the campaign. This is bigger than the outcome of the 2016 election.
