Everyone knew that. Geoarge. Its not the taking of meds... its the NOT TAKING of the meds when you need them.

Let's say someone has Type 2 diabetes and they are prescribed Metformin to control their blood sugar levels. Now, let's say they stop taking those meds and their A1C levels stay elevated for 10 years before they die of a heart attack. Do you say 'BABAM! The metformin they stopped taking caused their heart attack!"?
