How come when a political party bring up tax cuts, some in the media says it's a money grab for the rich, but when the both sides what to expand government aid; the same media says that's great for the tax payer. Wouldn't that be a money grab for the poor?

Just so you know my thoughts on my question. I like many on this board and I think even pickle would agree that the government should tax us only for what it needs to operate. I don't agree with the government giving tax money to anyone, but the people they took it from. I'm just trying to learn.
