Why can't people understand both sides?

One side- not standing for the anthem is disrespectful, no if and or buts ( saying when people sing the end the anthem ....in the land of the free and the home of insert home teams name here is also very disrespectful, concession stands operating also)
other side- no disrepect intended, there is injustice in the legal system and police brutality and this brings this to national attention ( personally, I think most already could grasp this concept)
Seems to me an effective leader would simply address both sides and offer an alternative statement:
"Let's all stand and honor the flag AND realize that justice needs to be fairly implemented, as was constitutionally intended, and our police officers can be faiible and may make mistakes which are regrettable > Police officers like any profession have a small, few outliers that can blemish others heroism".
