Entering into an optional employment contract and then having the burden of having to abide by the terms of such contract.

NFL teams instruct its other employees (concessions workers, ushers, security staff) when and where to stand. Hell all sorts of employers tell their employees when, where and how to act.

Why should a football player be any different?
