It didn't surprise me that Hillary was silent for so long on Weinstein. What can one say on the subject when they're married to Bill? Assault, intimidation---that has been the Clinton playbook for decades. A response to Weinstein would require much thought, but there was no way it wouldn't be viewed as a joke (again, due to her enabling of Bill).
Barry Obama, on the other hand. "Father of the Year" by most liberal assessments (who recently cashed another Weinstein political favor w/ his daughters internship), took even longer than Hillary to issue a statement. However, that isn't too much of a problem for 1 reason. The expectations (still) are and always have been so low for Obama, that no response at all wouldn't have been a problem for most. It's just a different standard.
