Couple of clarifications

1. I started saying that it would be his best not after he was first hired, but after the window of opportunity closed on him during the latter part of his first season. At that point it became impossible for him to ever upgrade the talent from the point he inherited, but initially when he landed a strong first class and had Fuller/Fulford and most importantly no track record of abysmal failure it was still plausible that he could.
2. Recruiting rankings don't equal best roster. This roster may have the highest recruiting rankings of any that Cuonzo assembles at MU, but unless he underwhelms he will put together better rosters in upcoming years. This roster is rather flawed, very inexperienced, had not ideal for his style of play. He inherited a crater, and is simply working with what he can. Which has been pretty amazing given where he started, but still I'm hopeful when he isn't in such a scramble mode he can have more balance and experience and higher caliber defenders and more guard play than he likely will this season.
