We've all heard discussions or participated in them that concerts, sporting events, and other events where large groups gather are fertile grounds for a potential terrorist. Maybe he was just illustrating that point in a particularly morbid way.

I don't know that we'll ever know. Unless there's some note or something on the tape that tells us why, it's just an evil, misguided individual.
