Back in the 1980s I worked on a couple of nuclear power plant construction "prudence audits". A very good nuclear engineer described nuclear power to me as "a very expensive way to boil water". That is all the nuclear in nuclear power is used for - to heat water to generate steam. The steam is then used to spin turbine blades using the same type of turbines and generators they use in coal plants.
Nuclear power only makes sense when natural gas is expected to be above $10 per mcf.
