so again LESS unarmed black people.
and a major point you leave out is unarmed means jack sh*t. bodily force and trying to disarm the officer are hugely important pieces being left out of your argument.
so out of those 9 how many are left.
as an example let's consider the oklahoma shooting where the female cop shoots the guy reaching into the car.
he was unarmed and not assaultive. but he was stopped in the middle of the road, strung out on PCP and not following commands.
there are a ton of extenuating circumstances that led to this shooting. I've watched about an hour of her (the police officer's) interrogation.
my opinion based on that is she probably shouldn't have been a cop in the first place. but that's a different argument. but i can assure you at that moment in time she felt her life was threatened. she was absolutely terrified in that instance. and that is what the courts have ruled in graham v connor. at that moment, based on the information at hand, did the officer fear for his or her life or the life of others. in fact the officer doesn't have to be right ultimately. they have to be reasonable.
watch her interview and if you don't want to watch 45 minutes get to about the 23 minute mark and go from there. you will understand why the jury didn't convict her.
