Is a complete overhaul possible?

For the good of the university (which is struggling big time), could the athletic department cut loose all the players and Pinkel hold-overs who were involved in the threatened boycott? Could Sterk, under the direction of new AD and curators, revoke scholarships and clean house entirely? I haven't heard of a school ever doing this, but we're dealing with an unprecedented situation.
I would never expect the timid, conformist culture in "CoMo" to take such bold action, but it is what is needed to right the ship. Admit the failure in leadership, take corrective action, rededicate the school as a place of higher education.
Football team would take a hit in the short term, but that's inevitable at this point. We're nearing the end of Pinkel's recruits. Things are going to get worse before they get better. When in doubt, do the right thing.
