My guess is that the jock sniffing owners, executives and media will see who can grovel the most. And give them everything they want.
Which of course will not be enough.
What the dip stick gedell and the rest don't or won't grasp is that the GAME is the most important thing. Not the individual nearly literate, mutant millionaires currently playing.
If the NFL execs had a spine, they would do what the spineless administration at missouri should have done:
Dear nearly literate, mutant millionaire players,
Pizz off.
You are here for the entertainment of the paying public. You make millions of dollars playing a game. A difficult game to be sure. A game only a rare few can play well, and if you all left the game and we had to restock the entire league, it may take us about fifteen minutes.
The fans would be heartbroken if you all left for greener and fairer pastures. They would boycott the games, tv ratings would fall, revenue would be reduced.
For about fifteen minutes.
It is the game people love. Not the players.
Meanwhile, if you left the employ of the NFL, i am confident you are all qualified to earn minimum wage in the fast food or hospitality industries. Those of you who evade incarceration.
You are paid handsomely to play football for our entertainment. We do not care what nearly literate mutant millionaires think of the state of political affairs domestically or internationally.
Most of you are too very stupid to formulate a coherent thought or sentence beyond, "I am being treated unfairly because i'm black. I want more money and attention."
Shut up and play ball. Or don't play. But shut up.
If this response to your eloquent letter, written by a fully literate jock sniffing attorney seems harsh, i don't care.
If you want something to worry about, consider your fate if we only hired intelligent decent people to play in the league.
