We back one thug over another thug and can't believe it when we get sucked into a quagmire. We probably should have learned that giving arms and "expertise" to a bunch of cowardly jungle farmers with corrupt leaders would only lead to those very arms being used against you. Rinse and Repeat 40 years later when we do it with cowardly sand farmers with corrupt leaders.

All things aside, now we know where John McCain learned his foreign relations strategy.
